TEHRAN – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Serbian government and its citizens following the tragic roof collapse at a train station in Serbia.

Ismail Baghai shared a message on X, stating that the loss of life resulting from the roof collapse at the Novi Sad train station has brought profound sadness.

As an expression of solidarity and support, the Iranian spokesperson conveyed the sympathies of the Iranian people and government to those affected by the devastating event. The message emphasized the importance of international cooperation and support during times of crisis and tragedy.

The spokesperson noted, “We offer our sympathies to the families affected by this tragedy and stand in solidarity with the government and people of Serbia.”

On Friday, the Ministry of Interior of Serbia reported that the roof collapse at the Novi Sad train station had resulted in 14 fatalities and four injuries.
