Iran open 2024 Asian Beach Volleyball Championships in style

TEHRAN – IRI 1’s Bahman Salemi/Abolhassan Khakizadeh defeated Ronniel Rosales and Edwin Tolentino of the Philippines, 21-8, 21-10 in their opening match of the 2024 Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championships Pool A on Tuesday.

The Iranian team later beat Oman’s Al-Jalbubi Nouh and Alshereiqi 21-13, 21-12 in the men’s qualification tournament.

IRI 2’s Amir Ali Ghalenoei and Habib Akbarzadeh are in Pool E.  

Fifteen teams are battling it out for the four open spots in the 24-team main draw of the competition hosted by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
