New York protesters demand end to Gaza war
Protesters have marched through the streets of New York in a demonstration calling for an end to the war in Gaza.
The event was organized by the activist group, Within Our Lifetime, Al Jazeera reported.
The protesters denounced the U.S. administration for supporting Israel’s war on Gaza.
They held banners describing President Joe Biden as “Genocide Joe”.
The term “Genocide Joe” is a reference to the Biden administration’s complicity in Israel’s crimes in Gaza.
Police arrested a number of people.
