MP stresses Iran’s commitment to retaliate against Israel

Addressing a meeting with elected members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Saturday, Zolnouri highlighted Iran's pivotal role in global resistance movements. He criticized Western policies in the West Asia, noting their failure to achieve desired outcomes despite substantial investments.

Commenting on the recent terrorist attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, the senior Iranian lawmaker suggested that the Zionist regime's resort to direct confrontation with Iran was driven by a desire to escape international isolation and regain support.

Zolnouri reaffirmed Iran's commitment to providing spiritual support to Gaza while asserting its right to retaliate against aggressors. He warned of a robust response if provoked, echoing sentiments expressed by Imam Khomeini regarding the ultimate demise of the Zionist regime.

Zolnouri also underscored parliament's influence in guiding governmental policies, particularly in addressing interconnected issues such as security, economy, and culture. He urged officials to heed the message conveyed by recent electoral trends, highlighting the significance of people's votes in shaping national direction.

Israel launched a terrorist attack on the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital on April 1, using six missiles that resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including high-ranking Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his deputy General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.

In response, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, vowed that Iran would retaliate against Israel and ensure that the malevolent regime regrets its actions of assassinating Iranian military advisors in Syria.

Echoing this sentiment, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that Israel's aggression against Iranian military personnel in Syria would not go unanswered.
