Should we tell Uncle Nowruz to stay away this year
Should we tell Uncle Nowruz to stay away this year?
TEHRAN — “Uncle Nowruz, do not come here.” This haunting plea has echoed through my mind as the 1405 spring approaches.

Tehran — This year, Nowruz was different. It is no exaggeration to call it the most unprecedented Nowruz in Iran’s contemporary history. The Persian year 1404 was a difficult and bitter one for Iranians. Early in the year, the country became embroiled in a 12-day war imposed by the United States and Israel, during which more than a thousand honorable Iranian citizens lost their lives and became victims of the lies, ambitions, and crimes of those two regimes.

TEHRAN – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf called on Muslim nations to cast off reliance on the United States and forge a new regional security order rooted in Islamic solidarity, warning that American military presences in the region serve only to enable Israeli aggression and division.

TEHRAN – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday that its spokesman, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, was martyred in an act of terrorism carried out by the United States and Israel.

TEHRAN –The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance has issued a message to the culture ministers of Muslim countries regarding the war imposed by the U.S. and the Zionist regime on Iran.

TEHRAN — In a message marking the Persian New Year, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, declared “Resistance Economy in the Shadow of National Unity and National Security” as the official slogan for the Iranian year 1405.

TEHRAN – The U.S. President Donald Trump's contradictory statements about the war with Iran, especially when it comes to attacking civilians, has turned him into a pathological liar who has no control over chronic lying.

TEHRAN — Beyond the kinetic exchange of bombs and missiles, the 2026 war on Iran has revealed its true foundation: a meticulously constructed parallel reality. Twenty days in, it is clear that Washington is also waging a war of optics, built entirely upon a fragile architecture of institutionalized mendacity.

TEHRAN - From the earliest days of the U.S.–Israeli military aggression that began on February 28, President Donald Trump has repeatedly asserted that Iran’s political leadership has collapsed and that the country is seeking a ceasefire out of desperation. These statements have circulated widely in his public remarks, where he has described Iran as being on the verge of political disintegration and portrayed the initial wave of strikes as having eliminated the core of the Iranian state.

MADRID – One way to analyze the current U.S. aggression against Iran is through the political language that precedes and organizes it. In 2003, the invasion of Iraq was justified by a discursive apparatus centered on weapons of mass destruction that never appeared. The sequence is known: first, a set of propositions is presented as self-evident; then, reality is read through them. The decision for war does not emerge from the evidence. The evidence is adapted to the decision.
