Iran calls for regional unity against "vicious" Israeli plots

TEHRAN- Iran's ambassador to the UN in Geneva is urging regional countries to set aside differences and stand together against what he called Israel's "vicious" conspiracies.

Iran calls for regional unity against "vicious" Israeli plots

Ali Bahreini warned that targeting Iran in political and legal forums would only embolden Israel, calling on nations in the region to unite against Tel Aviv's plans.

Speaking at the UN Human Rights Council on Wednesday, Bahreini said Israel's attacks go beyond Iran, Lebanon, and the Palestinian people—they are aimed at undermining regional order and pushing the world toward chaos and instability.

He cautioned Iran's neighbors not to see themselves as safe from Israel's reach, arguing that Iran won't be the last target. If Israel gets through Iran, he said, other countries in the region would be even easier targets for its "dangerous and ideological plans."

"Today, Iran is fighting, on behalf of all regional countries, an enemy that will be uncontrollable tomorrow if not stopped today," Bahreini said.

He also pointed out that Iranian civilian infrastructure, including 53 hospitals and 57 schools, has been targeted from U.S. bases in neighboring countries, adding that Iran reserves the right to respond by striking the sources of those attacks.
