TEHRAN- The head of the National Security Commission of the Parliament declared the double standards of the Americans in human rights issues as a disgrace for the United States in the world.

According to ISNA, Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, in a meeting on the examination of Western human rights, pointed out, “Today, America and the West, as claimants of human rights, are complicit in the killing of millions of people in the world.”

Referring to the torture of prisoners and protesting people in America, he called Western human rights as a shameful example and emphasized that, “today we should not allow the Americans to take a human rights stance against Iran.”

The chairman of the National Security Committee, emphasizing the crimes of the Americans in the region and the support for the Zionist regime in the massacre of the people of Gaza, stated that the establishment of a human rights committee in the Islamic Consultative Assembly can be useful in a more serious examination of human rights issues and understanding the weaknesses of Western human rights.
