‘Heavier blows’ will be delivered to Israel, IRGC official vows

TEHRAN – A high-ranking official of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), who was present in the command center during Iran's October 1st strikes on Israel, has vowed that Tehran will be responding to Israel’s Saturday attack on Iranian soil in a way more surprising and harsher that its previous engagements with the regime.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, the IRGC’s deputy commander for coordination, made the remarks on Tuesday, three days after Israel waged a deadly attack on Iranian military installations.

“In the upcoming days, expect to witness more severe strikes against the Zionist regime, which will be taken aback by new strategies, initiatives, and innovations, leading to even greater setbacks for them,” Naqdi declared. He added that no Israeli assault on Iran’s soil will ever go unanswered. “They will face repercussions for their audacity.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the general discussed the decaying power of Israel’s military. “In the past, the U.S. and the U.K. provided military, financial, and intelligence support to Israel. However, their military forces are now officially deployed in occupied Palestine, with their ships arriving on the shores to engage in combat, as the strength of the Zionist regime is unable to match that of Hamas and Hezbollah fighters.”

Iran’s government spokeswoman, Fatemeh Mohajerani, also said during a press conference on Tuesday that Iran reserves the right to respond to Israel’s violation of its territorial integrity. “How and when the response will be carried out is something the National Security Council will decide. We will all be united in our response.”

Mohajerani also called on the international community to intervene and put a halt to Israel’s ongoing violence in the region. “How many more children should lose their lives in Gaza and Lebanon before you finally take action?” she asked.
