“The one-day tour, attended by over 70 children and teenagers from Kerman, was organized with the aim of promoting tourism culture within families,” said a local official in charge of tourism on Wednesday.

The tour, Moein Afzali added, was made possible through collaboration with the private sector, and plans are in place to offer weekly tours tailored for children.
Afzali highlighted that child-focused tourism, which addresses the social and mental development needs of children at different ages through educational and entertaining travel experiences, plays a significant role in helping families teach essential social principles.

He noted that travel and tourism foster creativity and imagination in children, significantly impacting their social and emotional development.

“Moreover, by engaging children and teenagers in tourism activities, the interest in travel and exploration is likely to spread to other family members, boosting overall tourism in the region,” he winded up.

Family-oriented tourism is a growing sector within the broader travel industry, focusing on creating travel experiences specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of every family member. This form of tourism emphasizes educational and recreational activities that foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young travelers. Through carefully curated experiences, such as interactive museum visits, nature exploration, and themed tours, child-focused tourism aims to make learning fun and engaging, encouraging curiosity and creativity.

In addition to benefiting the children, this type of tourism also strengthens family bonds, as parents and guardians are often involved in the activities, creating shared experiences that contribute to the overall enjoyment of the trip.
