Qeshm Island welcomes over 1.6 million visitors in four months

TEHRAN – Qeshm Island has witnessed a significant rise in tourism, as some 1.6 million visitors flocked to the island during the very first four months of this Persian year (started on March 20), said a local tourism official.

“Qeshm Island has welcomed some 1,660,251 tourists during the first four months of this year,” Ebrahim Rostam-Gorani brought to light, adding that these tourists arrived on the island through three main routes: by sea, air, and land.
“This marks a significant increase compared to the same period last year, when 1,499,065 tourists visited Qeshm,” he further elaborated. “The data shows an increase of 161,186 tourists, representing a 10 percent rise in visitor numbers compared to the previous year.”

In his final words, the official expressed optimism about the continuation of this upward trend in tourism in the coming months.

Qeshm Island, the largest island in the Persian Gulf, is a jewel of southern Iran known for its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
