Iran's Jewish community condemns US-Israeli aggression, demands retribution
TEHRAN — The religious leader of Iran's Jewish community issued a strong condemnation of the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on his country, calling the action a betrayal of trust and demanding that the two regimes be held accountable for their criminal behavior.

The condemnation by Rabbi Younes Hamami Lalehzar, conveyed through a statement shared online on Tuesday, emphasized the shocking nature of the attack.
"Once again, criminal America, in cooperation with the Zionist regime, has further plunged itself into the mire of downfall through a treacherous and unwise attack," the Rabbi stated. He added that the act "will be condemned by all free nations and will certainly receive a decisive and regret-inducing response from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran." He urged Iran's military to do everything possible to avenge the blood of Iran's martyrs.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was assasinated Saturday morning during a joint American and Israeli military assault on Tehran, amidst ongoing nuclear negotiations. Since then, at least 750 Iranian civilians have also been killed, including 170 girls targeted in their elementary school in southern Iran.
The Rabbi’s statement concluded by mourning the loss, noting that Ayatollah Khamanei's passing "is a great and irreparable loss for the Iranian nation," but expressed confidence that the people "will safeguard his blood, guidance, and path."
Iran has maintained continuous, multi-front engagement since the war began, targeting U.S. bases across the Persian Gulf states and Israeli positions in occupied territories.
In a separate statement published Tuesday, the representatives of Iran's Jewish, Christian, and Zoroastrian minorities at the Iranian Parliament called for the perseverance of national unity.
"At this sensitive juncture, while paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we emphasize the necessity of preserving the unity, empathy, and unified steadfastness of all strata of the Iranian nation," their statement read.
"We also emphasize our steadfast belief that, according to divine traditions and the teachings of our religions, right will ultimately triumph over falsehood, and honor and glory will finally belong to the resilient, faithful, and truth-seeking nations," it added.
