Pop singer Mohsen Chavoshi releases new track, reflecting on national unity
TEHRAN- Acclaimed Iranian pop singer and composer Mohsen Chavoshi has released his latest single, titled "Hasbi Allah" (God is sufficient for me), to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), the first Imam of the Shia.

The track, featuring lyrics by Mehdi Abbasi and music by Chavoshi himself, was officially unveiled on Wednesday. The technical production involved Mehdi Karimi for mixing and mastering, while Hamed Talkhabi designed the cover art.
In a lengthy note accompanying the release, Chavoshi shared his reflections on the recent social unrest and the external pressures facing Iran. The artist, known for his deep social conscience and spiritual themes, described his position as being "in the middle"—a space he defines as belonging to the common people and those who prioritize national logic over foreign-led narratives.
"For nearly two months, I have observed and searched for a voice of truth beyond the borders, but I swear by my conscience, the more I looked, the more disappointed I became. So, I remained silent," Chavoshi wrote.
He criticized the influence of foreign media, arguing that no nation can withstand such a relentless psychological onslaught. "If dozens of opposition networks produced content day and night against even a country like Switzerland, a percentage of those living in absolute prosperity would eventually seek subversion," he noted.
The singer expressed his heartbreak for all victims of the recent events and the U.S.-Israeli aggression on Iranian soil. However, he emphasized his refusal to align with those who seek foreign intervention or insult the religious sanctities of the Iranian people.
"I cannot stand alongside those who insult the beliefs of at least half of my fellow countrymen or threaten to burn the Quran while promising 'freedom' without irony," the statement read.
Chavoshi concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the Islamic Republic over the uncertainty of foreign-backed agendas, stating that he prefers to remain "in the middle" alongside the schools, the struggling households, and the streets of his own city.
"Hasbi Allah" is the latest addition to Chavoshi’s repertoire of religious and devotional works, which includes notable tracks such as "Ya Mowla," "Adl-e Movassaq," and "Asadullah," all dedicated to the virtues of Imam Ali (AS).
