Iranian artists condemn U.S.-Israeli attacks to homeland, stress unity, defense against enemies
TEHRAN – Following the U.S.-Israeli terrorist attacks to Iran, which started on Saturday and have caused the martyrdom of over 1,000 people including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders as well as civilians, including women and children, many artists from various fields have reacted on social media by sharing different posts.

Globally-renowned filmmaker Majid Majidi wrote: “History will testify to future generations how the Supreme Leader (of the Islamic Republic) was attacked alongside senior commanders, defenseless people, and innocent schoolgirls were all martyred”.
By mentioning schoolgirls, he was referring to the primary school girls in the city of Minab, Fars Province, who lost their lives in a brutal attack by the U.S. and Israel to their school on Saturday.
About 175 people have been martyred in the attack and another 100 been injured. Among the martyrs, in addition to the students, there were also their parents and a number of educational staff.
Film director Mohammad-Ali Basheh-Ahangar posted: “The bombardment has reached its peak. More than 130 cities of my country stand under the heaviest attacks and precious lives have been lost, from the commander-in-chief (Ayatollah Khamenei), who was unmatched in history and sacrificed his life for the elevation of the country, to the school children in Minab and innocent people in hospitals and homes”.
Young director Babak Khajehpasha wrote: “History will record that the vanguards of this battle were the daughters of this land. A land where its commander sacrifices his life before that of his soldiers. A leader who stood by truth and his flag until the end, teaching us the lessons of pride and patriotism. When foreigners draw their weapons, they are enemies, and we are soldiers of Iran, regardless of our beliefs”.
Veteran actor Ahmad Najafi posted: “History has never witnessed a leader with such remarkable qualities. Ayatollah Khamenei was not merely a political leader; he was the religious leader of Iranian society, and his absence is a significant loss for our people and country”.
Rasoul Najafian, another veteran actor, wrote: “Unity is our only path to combat the vile plans to disintegrate our beloved Iran”.
TV host Mojdeh Lavasani posted: “We will turn all these sorrows into epic tales! For our mother, Iran, has endured wounds throughout history and stood firm, saw sorrow but remained steadfast… she stood, and under her shelter, we stand”.
Vocalist Parvaz Homay wrote, “These days, do not fear death; rather, fear having your name written on the pages of the traitors to the homeland in history!”
Iran and the U.S. had agreed to attend a fourth round of nuclear talks in Vienna next week, following their most serious discussions in Geneva last Thursday. However, the U.S. derailed diplomatic negotiations with Iran just like the previous time in June 2025, launching a bombing campaign against Iran in conjunction with Israel.
The attacks prompted a swift response from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), with missile and drone launches targeting Israel and several U.S. bases in the region, occurring less than two hours after the strikes.
