Customs clearance of goods facilitated nationwide
TEHRAN- Following follow-ups by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture to facilitate the clearance of goods from the country's customs, importers can now clear their goods without a SATA code and solely based on a commitment not to receive foreign currency.

According to IRNA, the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture announced on Wednesday: “Given the necessity of expediting the clearance of shipments currently in customs premises during this sensitive period, based on decisions made by the relevant authorities and bodies, it has been decided that importers who wish to release their goods from customs without obtaining and presenting a SATA code can proceed with the release of their goods by having the owner or their legal representative insert a commitment in the Comprehensive Customs Affairs System stating "no request for foreign currency after goods clearance" to the relevant customs office for execution.”
After receiving this letter of commitment, the relevant customs offices will clear the said goods without requiring a SATA code.
This facility regarding the clearance of goods without a SATA code will be permitted for passenger cars, motorcycles, tractors, and buses imported as CBU (Completely Built Units), solely without issuing a transit permit.
