Iran, Russia move toward joint construction of small modular nuclear reactors
TEHRAN — Iran is moving toward an agreement with Russia to accelerate the joint construction of small modular reactors (SMRs), as the country advances its domestic nuclear capabilities and seeks to expand the role of nuclear energy in meeting rising electricity demand, the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has said.
